The first week is hard. Then it gets a bit easier, but it's never easy!

Best of luck. I lost 3 kg in 2 weeks doing it so there are positives.

You maniac. You are not wise. There is sugar in chocolate you know. What have you done.

The first day was hard, especially when I stopped off in Avoca (note to self: don't go into Avoca again when off sugar). I've only given up sugary things like cake, biscuits and (sob) chocolate so fruit etc. is still on the menu. Best to avoid me for the month of December ;-)

If it's sugar for advent, it'll be tough to beat that when it comes to lent!

I agree with Susan! But don't worry, chocolate will forgive you and be your friend again whenever you want. Be strong!

It could be worse. I could go vegetarian.
(Day 2 mistake: cooking gingerbread with Conor. D'oh!).

Are you allowed to use sugar substitutes? You can bake with some of those. You can also eat unsweetened chocolate, but I wouldn't recommend it (might as well eat clods of dirt).

I have a theory that sugar substitutes are worse than sugar... so avoiding those too. It's still tough... one week nearly done but it's amazing how many times I've noticed myself reaching for the biscuits/chocolate/cake/all of the above.
