DRoss:
Just read an article in Compass Sport citing a WOC history of orienteering article suggesting that the first O event in NA was at Dartmouth College in 1941.
If accurate that means that the next NAOC in 2016 could also be celebrating the 75th anniversary of orienteering in NA at the founding location!
Stellar, especially if a coincidence.
Are organizers considering this as part of NA0C 2016 programme?

Quarter Quell; invite all past club champions to the event who'll then cause an uprising against the oppressors. Throw down the evil OUSA and give freedom back to the people in the form of late starts, late entries and the ability to miss controls and still finish.

The 1941 date seems to be correct. Yes, it will be historic.
