Congrats on surviving the quarter! We're looking forward to seeing more of you :)
Are you doing intervals this week? I'm miserably out of shape, but I'd like to join if you are. :-)
Nope- this week was the NASA 5k and both Tapio and I raced that. Probably resuming intervals next week, though I'm not sure what day given the holidays. We might do a hill run tomorrow though.
I'm heading to Seattle on Saturday, so I'll be gone for the next two weeks. I'll start up again in January.
I'm unfortunately not going to be able to go to the Bog Slog. I'm going to be in Seattle for a week and then I'm heading to Italy for a week to be with my boyfriend for New Years, and I'm flying out at 1 pm on the day of the Bog Slog. I bought tickets when the Bog Slog was scheduled to be a week later, and I was really upset when I found out that it was moved a week earlier because I would have booked different plane tickets if I had known. :-( Hopefully I'll get to do trainings in Italy/Slovenia though, so I think it'll be worth it.
I'm so glad you survived the quarter! Sounds like you took the right approach to survive. What about bringing in short little runs that don't take much time? That'll give you the base to do fun stuff on the weekends or when more time magically appears :)
Noooo!!! Well, Italy and Slovenia are good, too. Another year...
Blame Snohomish County!
We had everything ready to go for the 27th, but then they said they were doing a huge Search & Rescue exercise on the 27th and needed the entire park to be closed off to everyone! So we moved it to the day before.
Oops, I guess I was wrong about when the Bog Slog was previously going to be (the day after instead of the week after). Anyway, I broke my streak of attendance at the Bog Slog last year, so I guess missing it this year isn't that bad. I hope it goes well!
Alex, it's more the lack of energy that comes with the lack of time. When I wake up, do homework, go to class/lab all day, come home and eat a very quick dinner, then do homework until really late, I don't have any energy or desire to train. Constant homework/stress makes me apathetic about everything. :-( But when I don't have class and I'm only in lab from 9:30-7ish without homework after, I feel like I have so much time!
