Information regarding lodging has now been posted on the meet website. For your convenience, the current version of that information is replicated below.

Lodging

We have a 25-room block at the Marriott Courtyard Pleasanton (5059 Hopyard Rd, Pleasanton, CA 94588), which will serve as the headquarters hotel for the event. The rate for King rooms is $94.00 plus tax per night, and for Queen-Queen (2 Queen beds) is $104.00 plus tax per night. Parking and wireless internet are complimentary.

Call 800.321.2211 and ask for the "United States Individual Orienteering March 2016" rate at the Courtyard Pleasanton. Or you can use the link on the meet webpage to make your own reservations online.

Reservations must be made before Thursday, February 25th to receive the group rate.

We also have a 20-room block at the Sheraton Pleasanton (5990 Stoneridge Mall Road, Pleasanton, CA 94588). The rate for a room with 2 Queen beds (up to four people) is $119.00 plus tax per night. Breakfast and wireless internet are complimentary.

Call 800.325.3535 and ask for the "Orienteering USA 2016" rate at the Sheraton Pleasanton. Or you can use the link on the meet webpage to make your own reservations online.

There are many, many hotel/motel possibilities in Livermore/Pleasanton. A quick search on a travel website for March 17–20, 2016, yielded dozens of hits, with prices ranging from under $100 to about $300 per night.

Camping

Probably the best camping location is at Del Valle Regional Park just south of Livermore. RV parking is available at Del Valle Regional Park, the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton, and other locations. (Unfortunately, RV parking is not allowed at the Livermore Walmart store that is a few miles from the event.)

Our corporate sponsor, Visit Tri-Valley lists 32 locations in the area. There are certainly others, so shop around.

I was planning to come to this travelling alone via a work trip to Livermore. Is anyone interested in sharing transport/accommodation from SFO for the w/e?
