Do you have any Gortex or other type of water proof shoe you run in? I'm thinking of getting a pair even if they are a little clunky...I just hate running where I step in a puddle unexpectedly after skillfully dodging 100 other puddles and of course that is the one that is a pothole too.

I just got a gortex top jacket...it actually is for bikers...but I like it...and with me taking so long to get across a street or intersection I need to have the reflective material it has to keep me alive...the traffic has really increased and I am running routes and times I used to not run and I hate coming to a side entrance street with traffic at my back..I have to look back and make sure I don't step out into the path of a car turning...in the dark it is scary...before I ran within the neighborhood so not much of an issue..

No, I don't run in any goretex shoes. They make them in trail running and hiking shoes mostly.
I stepped in a thawed puddle last night on my run on a golf course. Not good, as I still had 3 miles to go.
