was this with the speedwork group at SLU track? those are some fast intervals.

billy ran with the team this morning 68-70 sec repeats and finished off with a 64 for good measure. . . . 6x400m :) but he is 17.

yeah. not fast if you consider last weeks 600's were less than double the time of most of these 300's. time for the re-set button.

go billy! is his main event going to be 3200?

yes looks like same as last year, focus on the 32, which is usually the first event, and then he will be running the opening leg of the 4x800m, usually toward end of the meet . . . then get in some times at the other distances, 1600m, in minor meets. his teammate Lucas ran a 1:56 last year so will be anchor in the 4x8, and hopefully billy can best his 2:00-flat and go sub-2. they are hoping to best the school record they set last year to win the state champs of 7:54, will be tough to do.

300@61 isn't fast?!? What were you shooting for? R-pace for a 20-minute 5K'r is 300@66. Not sure why you'd ever want to run faster than that unless you're going to compete at 400m.
