I can't believe I watched your Willi/Ericvision video for a good half-hour, following along on my map, with routegadget with you and Eric's routes up on another tab. I guess that's kind of the point, but still! (#firsttime) Thanks for sharing. I'm so impressed how little you guys seem to look at your map and how smoothly you seem to move off trail particularly. Cool to see. I still want to just try to keep up and chase you sometime, but it would probably only last 30 seconds, and I would probably hurt myself. I'm also impressed how good the gopro video is when you wear the camera on your head. It seems surreal, and it's so awesome to see when your competitors all of a sudden pop into view. Maybe this is a spectator sport!

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! Some of the video's smoothness is deceiving, as I usually artificially smooth them to lose the bounce, but other than that it's raw real-time footage. Even though I only got the basic model I'm super happy with the video quality, and it's great for self-analysis (and entertainment) purposes too. Would definitely recommend it for anyone who does weird action-y outdoors things.

I'll let you chase me on one condition - you wear the GoPro so I get to be the star :) I'm also open to letting others borrow it for a race...anyone want their orienteering mercilessly psychoanalyzed? The camera bares all.
