National rogaine champs are the weekend after the state O champs if that makes a difference to your prospects. The national O champs are a week after the rogaine, hence the need to have the state champs earlier this year.
That's right. Orienteering champs are earlier than normal to miss the rogaine. Makes me more likely to do both, but less likely to do the rogaine, if that makes sense. Two weekends in a row a long way from home is a big ask.
Ask WARA to move the Aus Champs to Geraldton. They already moved the Oct rogaine back a week to accommodate the MTBO champs so I'm sure it's no big deal for them :-)
Aus Champs are far enough away that my school is going to go to a different rogaine this year, instead of the nationals (which is also the schools champs).
