What's your PR?

20:53, May 2014. That's also the last time I'd raced 5km before this one.
Best 3k (11:55) last March makes me think I was in shape for 20:30. A little hard work will get me back into that kind of shape, then what's another 30 or 40 seconds over 3 long miles? Nothing a little more hard work can't get me.

Hate to burst your bubble, but it took me 3 years to better my 5k PB with 4 seconds. So hope you aren't too impatient, you might have to wait till you are in your 60s before going sub 20 ;)

I can do it. Just watch me. :-)

It all depends on where you start - the faster your PB is the harder it is to get it...
But yes, a minute may be hard to cut off your time without some hard work - so go for it!

I think it's like another 80/20 kind of thing -- the first 80% of the way takes 20% of the work. The last 20% takes 80% of the work. From observing how (and how much) good athletes train and how I respond to training I'm pretty sure I haven't even started hacking away at that last bit yet.
