I use 3 miles for the lower limit of keeping a streak going :-)

My usual 'short' run is Hare & back - 2.9 miles, but the RW challenge last month was minimum 1 mile every day. And a runner friend of mine had a streak going a few years ago - he had run 22 years, 2 mile min, without missing a day.

You set your goals, I'm good with 2 miles on occassion..

I couldn't go 2 meters if I had to do it at 4:00 AM.

What's most impressive is not the streak, but the number of good, hard training days you've been accumulating. Keep it up!

I'm actually not that hell bent on the streak aspect itself and won't be terribly disappointed when it inevitably comes to an end, but it does serve to keep me consistently heading out the door. The longer I stretch the streak, the more it imprints the daily aspect of doing it.

And I can defer to the streak when part of me wants to roll over and go back to sleep at 3:45am...
