I'm impressed that you got 6 mi of satisfactory classic skiing on old snow surface. Trails here are generally too crusty to use or there are too many icy or bare spots, or frozen foot prints. I inspected a single classic track around a field at St. Paul's today that was very good (yet I noted a post reflected on adjacent crust surface) - but woods' trails not so.
Perhaps we have a bit more snow. Best conditions have been in untouched snow, just making my own tracks as I go along, or following my most recent tracks which are very shallow bc the pack is very firm.
