When making micro map in ocad, how do you do? I often get a wrong message like "map wont stay in allowed area" when i try to rescale it from 1:15000 to 1:4000. Any simple solution?

Simple solution. I never rescale the map.

I open a course file at the original scale. Open the map as background. Set my course and customize the symbols (circles, lines, finish, start, numbers) to make them a lot smaller (usually 60% of original size). And finally print the map at the scale you want (often 1/4.000).

Ah, simple as that. But if you want them on the same map, its not possible to do like you?

Of course, it is also possible (everything is possible in OCAD dreamworld...).

You first need to export the part of the map you want with a larger scale. Thereafter, you open this file and "change scale" (Map>Change Scale (with the option enlarge/reduce symbol). Save. Then, with the original file, you import this map (File > Import) , with those options: "Place using the mouse" and "Import all symbols and colors" (if not the symbol will be all the same size and your sprint map will look strange).

Hope it helps.

Thanks, but solved it with rescale the map aswell. Now I can do it in several ways. Knowledge is power ;)
