I did it once or twice at some point. Could it have really been 8 years ago? Goes by so fast.

Armstrong put on the 3-hour at Babler in 2009. Did we have a Cold Nose at Babler in 2010 just 2 months later? If so, it's not on my log. I do have Yvonne as RD for every other year since 2008 and Bill setting for 2007. BTW, Yvonne, are you going to need maps at some point?

I did 07 and 08. I think 07 was an ice storm that closed the park day of.... Yvonne took it back in 09. I think she's done every year since i.e. no skips even with the 3 hour.

Yeah, that's another issue...all the persistent storm damage in the park. I think the ice storm in '07 was the worst but the woods have mostly recovered from that. I believe there was another ice storm a few years later. And then there was the F1 tornado 3 or 4 years ago that totally hammered a few spots in the park. I actually moved one of the green controls from my armchair design this year because that particular spot was still too awful.

The park has inquired about a map update. I don't think they have the funding for a full re-map, but trail and major vegetation changes could probably be done fairly easily. I also have a project in the works that I'm proposing as part of my PhD work that would greatly reduce the effort in keeping maps up to date, at least to standards of local meets (and, since that's pretty much all we do anymore, that would be good enough).

Wow - that sounds great! And a partially funded update of the Babler map would be fantastic.
