An example of specificity. Give some thought to how the Freeletics and Gympa are the same or different movements.
Overall you want to do exercises which directly effect your running in the woods.

I was also thinking that. The exercises may not be similar enough to feel the difference and if they are, it may have been an off day for you. I would bet on it that you have gotten stronger by doing all that strength training. The thing is you may not see it right away or even notice the change, but it may help your running form, change your body composition, or increase leg/hip/back strength and reduce injuries, all things that are positive for running. Helping your ability in Gympa is not the most important factor.

The exercises in rock gympa are very similar to the exercises in freelectics, so I expected there to a stronger correlation. While the exercises are nothing like running, so I don't expect to be faster :) And I know that I'm not training for gympa, I just expected to actually notice the difference.

You may just have had an off day strength-wise. I am certain you are getting stronger!
