Good job getting in the gym!
I used to be totally uninterested in it, but getting sore and witnessing improvement have kept me going back for more.
I don't mind gym strength. It's fun and challenging,and you're right, you see improvement. Cardio, however, is boring and hard. You can't slow down /speed up like you can when you run outside. Unless you push buttons and awkwardly try to speed up /change the angle without falling off or missing a step, you're just running along the equivalent of a flat road in the Prairies. And there is a very good reason I live close to mountains!
