You need a better excuse, no one uses structure as the reason they can't keep up. Would Markez ever use such an excuse???

Glide wax? Kick wax? Seriously old / crappy skis that are actually his mother's?

Markez never needs excuses because he very carefully selects who he skis with (people like me). I bet he has never skied with someone with skills, like Nev-Monster.

Obviously they all told you that you were going to ski an hour earlier, so you waxed for the conditions at that time, which was totally wrong for the actual conditions by the time you went out.

Thomas can blame it on me, by a mistake I took his fastish skies with me to Germany where I ski with them in Schwarzwald. His mother's ski is more like touring skies from the mid 1980ies.

But with slightly better bindings ;)

Once heard 3rd hand that the Norwegian national team only trains using Blue Extra. If the skiers complain it doesn't work, the coach just tells them to work harder.

Markez only trains with red klister and never complains.

Markez probably makes his own klister like the hipster that he is.

I think it's a valid excuse. I've used those skis. They suck.

Markez also waxes his whole skis. @nev if you ski in the Hamar/Lillehamer area, them blue extra is definitely your go-to wax. Funny you should mention it, someone said exactly this on the weekend.
