this mean you'll be dusting off the skate skis?

Fortunately, there are way more classic trails than skate trails so I shouldn't have to. :) With our two classic loppets last year, I managed to avoid skate skiing completely. I should probably try to get out once or twice this year.

No I've never even heard of them. Let me know where they are!

There's a map when you click on the link. It's on the east side of Airport Road near the Tai Chi Centre. We need to check them out!

With Stars WAR being at Scenic caves this year I think you're going to want to skate ski. Just saying.

We usually take both types of skis to winter ARs, then make our decision after seeing the race course. We're often able to bushwhack on classic skis at a reasonable pace compared to some of the top racers who have to double pole up hills off-trail on skate skis. (Which they do *much* faster than I could.) But if the controls are efficiently accessed from trails, we'll have to go with skate skis. Guess I'll need to wax them this year again. :) Rats.
