if there is some training on the way in Hamilton or Rochester, driving would be okay I guess.

I managed 8-hr drives to upstate NY twice a year for four years just fine. The drive to Ottawa was 10 hours but it was all on nice and flat Canadian roads. This would be twelve hours which is probably more than I can handle comfortably in a day.

We have some friends in the Rochester area, maybe they'd hook us up.

On option I consider was splitting it for like an evening departure, then run around the the following morning, then finish it up. Just ~6 per day under that scenario. Not sure how to get home, maybe 8+3 and go straight to work, haha.

Spare room is always available and I could provide permanent maps for multiple parks in the area.

There are 3 training courses in the ROC.

How does hotels while traveling factor in the price? Seems like flying would give you at least 1 fewer nights in a hotel. Unless you camped. Or bummed housing off people from Roc.

Jay might not be there if he goes to Wilderness Traverse!
