Actually we come out really close given that we ran different loops.

1. I did "my" loop 3 times, 2.87, 2.87, and 2.89. So 2.88 average, roughly.
2. My loop goes from the intersection of Virginia and Franklin directly to the jogging loop, takes about .04 to get there. Your loop gets to the jogging loop by continuing on Virginia, .065 to get there. So a .025 difference, times two because it's done in both directions, so yours is .05 longer.
3. And you started your watch on the front porch, I waited until on the street, another .01.

Let's see, 2.88 (me) + .05 + .01 = 2.94, which just happens to be exactly what you got doing your slightly different version.

Ah, great minds think alike. :-)

New new job, or new job at the same place you've been working?

New job at the same place. I was asked to take over the company's Help Desk, which is a pretty big job. A lot of folks were surprised, since they didn't know my background. It seems like it's going to be a lot of fun, but it's always tough getting started. I always feel so dumb at first.

Does that mean more travel? Hope not.

You may feel dumb, but by all appearances you are really good at this stuff.

Yes, I might have to go to Argentina! About 70% of my team is Argentina. I went from being an individual contributor (i.e., no one reporting to me) to a team of 90 people. The other part of my team is in Budapest. So, I envision some travel in my future.
