this is what I use. long velcro band means I can wrap it half way up my arm so I can get to it in the winter when I wear ski gloves and press buttons. 5 years old so far with no battery change. sync's with nothing.

i have an ambit 2. awful. I've never plugged any of my garmins or suuntos into a computer, but the ambit 2 was unintuitive, crap battery life and not as accurate (even with gps + baro) as my old garmin 310 from years ago. Good reason to buy from REI!

Looking at a G-Shock for my next outdoor watch. Something indestructible with solar charging. They need one with distance/pace/gain.
