Bugger. Do a bit of preparation next time - similar tests are easily searchable on d'interweb. You want to answer as Mr Ideal Police Officer, not as Ricky Thackray the Independent Driven Athlete. It probably wouldn't hurt at all to nicely contact the recruiting people and ask for some feedback - or do they not provide it for psych? I suspect they won't provide it as you'd be able to counteract it next time through if you knew. I suppose you could walk in to their main reception, and if they all duck for cover or surreptitiously reach for their weapons then you could guess that they think you're a bit volatile!!

The letter they sent to me said they can't provide feedback on the psych test. To be honest I think it's one line of questioning in particular where I came unstuck but there's nothing I can do about it unless I can go back 15 years and change history - the police have me on file! No point lying about it on a police test, which would only mean they won't give me a chance at redemption - ever. You must be an upstanding citizen and whatnot. Either that or if you do have criminal tendencies (or beat your wife or whatever), don't get caught.

John N has had a number of goes at the psych testing for the fireys but never got through - not because he has psychopathic tendencies but maybe it's more that he doesn't seem to put himself forward enough to be a leader.

I was told by some of the blokes at work that sometimes they would fail you to see if you would apply again in 6 months time.

It's 12 months for a failed psych test.

Bit poor to leave you out of work just to see if you're persistent. The process takes about four months (or more) as it is.

What about one headlight not adjusted properly?
Or driving with fog lights on?
You could think of it like the 'broken windows' theory... fix all the little things with motorists' behaviour and then as a whole they'll take more pride?

Don't be silly. They're not crimes that are going to aggravate cyclists (unless it's night-time and the lights are blinding).

tRicky wouldn't know. He still hasn't read his copy of the Criminal Code Act 1995 that I obtained for him.

It's just become irrelevant information to me. I'll just continue on reading how MorningLightMountain became irrelevant to the Commonwealth.
