Yep, some similarities there. Voice of experience? I forget if that's something you used to do. You've done a lot!

Although honestly, I would much rather do battle with the ocean than some dirtbag criminal attacker (basically what we're training for each class).

If it involves a stopwatch and a finish line, there's a good chance I've tried it. 1989-1991, I would crew four or five times a year on a Midget Ocean Racer (30') that was owned by a guy I used to do my easy
morning rides with. Sailed out of Sandusky. Lake Erie can turn nasty very quickly.

Oh yes. My sister lives in Vermilion and has taken me to the Great Lakes maritime museum. It's shocking how many major shipwrecks have occurred over the years! Edmund Fitzgerald comes to mind (well, that was Superior but all the lakes can be nasty).
