Sorry to hear. Take care of yourself so you can heal fully! You'll be back at it before you know it :)

Igor should be flattered. The first hint of something amiss was after I maybe ran a competitive Waterloo time. I had to destroy myself to run with him. That was when I had the unmitigated gall to run 22 miles in a week, in case BNM ever wonders why I perhaps come across as overly cautious when she plans some 40 mile weekend.

Ugh, sorry. Your body will prefer trails to pavement when you get back into action so that will be fun. Sometimes a flat arch (or two) can be the problem. After the icing stage is over, maybe you could try some Barefoot Science shoe inserts and do some foot strengthening exercises.

U of M's policy is if you don't get sick or hurt often enough, they bump you from the patient list and you have to enter as a new patient, subject to that ~three week we will see you when we see you period, by which time id be halfway through the recovery anyway. :/

trails

Yes good point. I was hoping to enjoy the local running group (no driving for exercise, enriches town) but perhaps I am too fragile a flower to do more than an easy three in clown shoes with them since it's a third concrete and two thirds asphalt.

I do have a ton of grass on one of my routes home, so I've got that going for me.
