Oh, it's not quite that bad. I didn't drown in my tears when I ran a 3:00:16 at Pensacola. Still, when that finish time starts with a 2, it just looks so much faster than one that starts with a 3. It's pretty sweet.
Totally understand. That visual applies all down the line for me, even to a weekly speed session. But back to the marathon - below 7 min pace, while not nearly as obvious, is pretty impressive looking in its own right. While its 1/100th of a second off 6:59.9 pace, 3:03:30 has a nice look to it. Poetry in numbers!
