Is AZ JROTC orienteering stuck in the buddy system?
Ya, jrotc orienteering requires two people to go out. It's a safety thing.
Until that changes, JROTC orienteering in AZ won't advance beyond where it is today. Do you have to share a map too?

I'm just glad that high school students can experience orienteering, I believe there was over 300 students that participated on Saturday.
Interesting - most of the JROTC O competitions around here have both solo and cooperative (partner) divisions. So I guess that must be just a regional or local thing. Good luck at getting more students involved. I hope to see you (and maybe a contingent from your school) at the US Interscholastic Champs in April.
