Wow, made it through base, would it ever end? Now, I am really psyched to start Phase 2 and really make some progress. I understand from JD that Phase 2 R workouts are not the hardest of the plan, save that for Phase 3, so I will have to hold back somewhat even during these two workouts. for my vdot from fb races, looks like I have lost 5 points from last summer, so the 200m R reps are scheduled at 52 sec, which seems painfully slow, but it will be good to just get out there and let it fly a little. I'm sure I will be feeling it by 8 reps. we'll see.
also, really need to focus on healthy eating and weight loss. there are certainly things I can cut here and there, or substitute, or just stop eating for pleasure. duh. it's not rocket science. been there, done that, yeah, like about every year this time of year. it's the same sad story. but it will come off, I have faith. just gradual would be good, like 1.5 to 2 lb solid fat loss per week would be ideal. have plenty of time till competition starts, but need to focus . . . NOW! this week. today. OK, well, tomorrow. :)
