Generally a map improvement in WA terrain involves setting fire to the venue.

The improvement factor is debatable. This area was burnt in 2009 in the great conflagration. Areas of deeper green have since emerged with the regrowth.

That tends to be what happens with ours too. At least they are "improved" for one season!
