Especially hard to have interval-level motivation on a treadmill. You go!

Ha! thanks! Honestly, if I had had anything to change into once I was done, I would have sucked it up and run outside. Treadmills always give me flashbacks to the boat :)

I bet. I always ran perimeters while deployed if I could. The "take cover in nearest bunker" part of pre-race briefings was a bit unnerving, though!

No kidding! Occasionally people would run on the flight deck before flight ops, just for a change of pace, but the steel deck was fairly unforgiving on the knees, not to mention what the non-skid would do if you slipped and fell (contrary to what the name would imply, the non-skid was actually quite slick). Can't say I'm overly sorry to not have to deal with PT on deployment again :)
