38's! impressive. 5:04 mile pace! and you got to do 2 sets of intervals in 4 days - does it get any better than this:)
it's great really, and I credit it all to the long base phase, it really works. I was never a believer in base training but it was all worth it. I've never been able to do two interval workouts in a week, especially at this weight, without injury or feeling fragile, like something would break. now if I hurt myself in tomorrow's FB 3M, I will be looking pretty darn foolish, haha!
in other news, Wash U had a health fair with fancy bio-electrical impedance machine from the PT department, with the hand and feet sensors, height and weight measured by PT grad students. result: I'm porking out at 21.x% body fat. looked at my printout from this time last year and was 6 lbs lighter but much more lean at 16.9% body fat. Last year, I had a concerted effort to eat right. which is lacking so far this year. well, maybe this will be motivation. man, I have the base, wouldn't it be a lot more fun to be lighter weight, could just fly.
jeez, whats it gonna take?!!! seems like the carrot is big enough. i think i've told you before, you have the op to be one of the areas best masters runners.
It's a mystery ... just has to happen ... can't be induced ... the stars have to align !
