I guess. Can't handle 30 minutes of shoveling trying to get the work van unstuck . I see your back went out recently. Any good advice. I am thinking running 20 tomorrow might not be wise. Never had it do this before.

My back has done this on and off since injuring it during my power lifting days years ago - squating 450+ pounds will do this..... This last episode was an usual one though as far as length of time it took to recover - must be the fact I'm 41 and not 21. Determined it was hauling wood downstairs which aggravated it.

Rest and/or doing any activity which DOESNT hurt has been my only successful approach. Gentle flexibility. Using heat (especially after a few days and if it's muscular versus slipped disc/etc.) helps.

If I've tried to push it or coming back early has only prolonged recovery.

I've never been to a chiropractor or have been big into going to the doctor so I don't have much insight into those options.

Seems to get worse overnight. Sauna has loosened it up before bed then wake up sore about 3am and can't get comfortable. Will go in tomorrow if still no improvement. Still feels muscular to me since it loosens with heat and light activity. Moving firewood with a sled now. Guess my training starts with a week off.

I am a firm believer in Chiropractors. Adam Sundberg (Duluth Chiropractic Clinic - Grand Ave) is a miracle worker, he has helped me numerous times. He takes insurance or you can pay cash if you have a high deductible insurance plan. His rates are very reasonable.

Hope things heal up quick for you, injuries are SO frustrating.

Sundberg IS good. Never used him, personally, but he's put the world of (good) hurt on Ron and many others I know - all with successful results. I'm more of a massage therapist fan which also has helped me with both major and minor aches, niggles, pains, etc..
