Oh man, it would be so great if someone could figure out the reason for your stomach issues.

I'm hoping.... Darcy from Infinit will be sending me some sports drink to try customized based on my sweat test and weight loss, with a plan to drink 700ml /hr with 200 cal or so. Not sure if I can get that down or if it's the answer, but worth a try. I have heard that some folks had trouble with Infinit, but since it's customized I doubt any 2 mixes are the same.

Still won't solve the problem for AR- it's pretty much impossible to drink that much on course.

For what it's worth, I was drinking Infinit when I had my stomach problems at the Death Race. The osmolality was set very high though -- I was trying to get high calories and electrolytes from this alone. And I didn't do nearly enough training with it to figure things out.

So take this with a grain of salt. (Salt - ha!)

Yep, I wasn't going to mention names... I'll give it a try with more feeble osmolality.

'Bent, you've tried almost everything... maybe you are the different duck that needs the different osmolality (high?), different from the rest of us?

Yes, 700 ml is a lot. I push more food and drink into myself than most people, and still I only drink 500 ml per hour when racing. (we all know we are supposed to drink more, but just can't)

I can't see it staying down either. I drank 1.2L in 2.5hrs of running and thought I was slugging back a lot. Darcy wanted to keep the osmolality pretty neutral for me.
I think another APer didn't do too well with Infinit. I'll let him chime in if he wants.

Ha, me?? I too had some issues initially with it when I used it during an 8-hr MTB race. Although I am not 100% sure it was due to my Infinit.

I still ended up using it for my long training rides with no ill-effects. I didn't want to risk racing IM Tremblant although I think it could have been ok due to my body adapting to it.

I have a bunch left from last year that I'll start up when my training exceeds 3 hours, I'll let you know how that goes...

I still have a bunch left from CDR that I will never use. Does powder go bad? If it does, mine definitely is.

I should really throw that out before someone accidentally dies.

You guys are really inspiring me....

Oh, you'll make them blush.

I think I've found your race!
