Beautiful. Ennio Morricone is quite possibly my favorite film score composer of all time. Thanks for the link!

He actually didn't have access to an orchestra while working on one of his first Westerns (budget constraints), so he was forced to improvise. His music uses sounds and instruments that you wouldn't expect to find in a movie score, but are oddly perfect for the setting. I enjoy his original Western soundtracks a lot more than some of the newer, adapted for orchestra versions...

As for trailer-esque music, I find a lot of it tends to be derivative, but there's some good stuff to be found there too; Jo Blankenburg is one name that comes to mind. And few melodies can beat Zack Hemsey's "Mind Heist" in terms of sheer intensity...
