I suck at downhill skiing but am heading to Tremblant at the end of the month and am curious about Alpine Touring. I like the idea of hiking to the top then making my way down but not sure if my weak skillset will be the death of me. Any suggestions?

I suck at the downhill too but I'm in love with alpine touring. Such a great workout :) Tremblant is a great place to do it. They have free organized tour too. And you can rent equipment there.
Let me know when you will be down there I maybe able to swing by there for a day :)

That's great to hear. I will be there at the end of the month but it will be a quick trip so maybe just 1/2 or 3/4 of day to try it out. Might be on Tuesday, March 1st but I will keep you posted in case you are able to join. Or I might just Fat Bike or Ski.

I didn't even know that you had "Alpine" out east. ;)

I went to a few pretty cool spots actually :) Tremblant was nice but the Massif in Charlevoix and Burque were more challenging. Will be going to Stoneham in Quebec next week end then Jay Peak and Owls head in a few weeks..nothing like what you have in Canmore Slice but it's pretty sweet :) and I'm just discovering the sport and I love it
