Just wondering how many of you are planning to participate in US Champs at the beginning of November. I am 75/25 at this point.

50/50 - depends upon family commitments...

Probably 10/90 - I'd love to, but don't think I can swing it.

Sadly, Nate and I can't make it because the Sectional XC meet is that Saturday. We've been pretty bummed about the conflict, since we heard about it last year. If USOF was serious about developing juniors, they would not have the US champs on a weekend where all high school and college XC runners have big meets.

That's too bad - do "they" know of the double booking?

I'm pretty certain we'll be going, barring illnesses, etc. I remember running on that map many years ago. Pretty nice area. Be mindful of parallel error potential when you start getting tired.

I am officially out. I got to be in Buffalo Nov-2.

No for me as well. It is just a touch too far to make travel (potentially with kids) easy. I would certainly like to be there.

We decided to add a bit of vacation to the trip. We're leaving Wednesday as soon as the kids are out of school, driving straight through, and setting up our camper in the park for lodging. Thursday we're planning to spend seeing some of the sites in Washington, which will be the first time for the kids. You're right Rob, it gets complicated planning trips like this.

Incidentally, we finally decided to move up to a bigger camper this fall. Our old one will be for sale cheap, if anyone is interested. :-)
