Interesting. Could be quite a few cuts, but it seems like a better approach than the standard. I have had two of those squamous cells excised, both on my back, and no real recovery issues. But I did not have the Mohs procedure. Good luck to you!

On your back? Was that from excessive sun exposure?

My little thing is on my shin, with bone just below it. Hard to believe my lower leg received too much sun; can't remember that area ever particularly tanned, let alone burned. But I will admit to wearing shorts a lot more since I picked up golf. So perhaps....

Thanks for the good wishes. Sounds like you're mending too!

Sure, plenty of sun exposure. I spent a lot of the 80s on a windsurfer, and had quite a few bad sunburns as a kid. Lucky not to have more of these. I go to the skin doc once a year and get various things removed, but only 2 squamous cells so far. Nowadays it is rare for me to go outside without a shirt, but the damage is done. Best of luck to you. My 2 were certainly no big deal, but one never knows until it is taken care of.

Good luck with procedure. You want to have an IPA ready when you get out?

Wish I could. But I've got to stay on the wagon for a while both before and after to minimize the chance of bleeding excessively. Haven't had a beer since I scheduled the work last Thursday. Feel kinda dry.
