I heard you were with a fast group of runners - even if you did get steered the wrong way at some point, as so many people did. It was so easy to miss a marking. Nice to have an excuse to get out on beautiful trails on a day when it would have been easy to stay indoors!
Great to see you so many times. You were running well. Wish we could have hung out after but it was too cold to wait around in wet race clothes. By the time I changed you were gone.
Yes my partner in crime (patty) was a little angry and wanted to leave quickly lol
By the time I got to the car in wet clothes, I was so cold that I insisted we drive until the van warmed up enough to change in!
I think a lot of people felt that way! My yaks were stuck on my shoe!
Great seeing & running with you Mrs. Gally. Thanks for figuring out how to set us "straight" after the wrong turn. The final distance on "my/our" course was 23.4km. That may be a little longer than you as I went quite a ways one way at the fork, but you likely went the same distance the other, before we turned back and both crowds of runners met up & went back to the start. The correct 25km course was actually 26.5km. So we did about 3km less. :(
Browner has the excitement of being listed as the overall winner even though she told several race officials that she and Kathie ran 16 km on purpose and arrived at the finish by car. It's Rosie Ruiz all over again. ;)
That is so awesome for Browner !l lol and glad I could help Wanda even though I knew I directed us on a shorter course!!
Maybe I should change my AP handle to Rosie - great idea Bash!
