jjcote: Return! (?)

PG: Yeah, I thought we had gotten rid of him. Going to have to get Kenny to wipe out his log again. :-)

barb: Hi SF

#  Posted 2007-09-15 03:54:35
kissy: Welcome back. Did you get lonely on your other blog? We missed you.

Swampfox: Cautionary statement of Declaimer: Boys and Girls, this is not the Return of the Native, and you are not the Last of the Mohicans.

tomwcarr: What other blog?! Ohhh, we feel so stupid. So used. We should have known there was another blog. It's always the other blog. We're sorry Swampfox. We can be better. Just tell us what you want. Please come back. That other blog doesn't love you like we do. Stupid other blog! Why other blog, why other blog? Well fine. Go to your other blog! You'll be sorry! You and that other blog deserve each other.

piutepro: We in Piuteland know about the other blog and it has a cool bookmark on my computer. A day without SF notes is a flat foggy foul frosty day. On the other hand, my virtual disappearance from AP has rather to do with personal battles of the S/D kind than with eloping to my other blog (which I have, but it is still under wraps...)

bl: I recall SF's various 'speak easys' over the years, once on printed paper so long ago. Last noted by me was a personal web... but prairie winds or similar blew him from the cold to AP?

At Navy OCS Winter '68-69, I was referred to as 'Sly Fox' by Johnny Carson's nephew (Steve Sotzing - looked just like JC)... is that a joke or not...am I sly or not.... It doesn't make any difference, does it?

Yukon King: Hi SF. Hi P, what's S/D ?

#  Posted 2007-09-20 21:20:39
Swampfox: I think he's refering to the most unfortunate saga of the S Slash D Ranch of Texas, which did a texas sized (read: real, real big) issue of bonds denominated in Canadian dollars a few years back, while all their revenues are strictly in US currency. Tom Carr would tell you all about it, but it has become a matter of some considerable humiliation for the citizenry of the Lone Star state. They are now afraid that Vermont is going to swoop in and buy them up, and how would that look?

#  Posted 2007-09-21 00:24:10
Yukon King: woof !

#  Posted 2007-09-21 00:52:47
tomwcarr: Vermont? Vermont is a state? I thought that was just a brand name for fancy maple syrup.

piutepro: S/D is the tag on a folder. The folder contains paper. Court papers. Names of lawyers. Facts and reasons. The dissolution of a marriage. Separation and divorce. -

Well, the good news is, Mario is in college at Worcester Tech.

The other good news is, friendly visitors are welcome to stay in my house before running e.g. at the Highlander.

The rest is less good news and therefor omitted for now.

jjcote: The new version of Swampfox is distinctly laconic. Which is somewhat surprising, as you'd expect him to be laramic, and jima to be laconic.
