My psa is 4.5...going back in 6 months to dr instead of 1 year...if it goes higher he may send me to urologist. I goggled this and it is high but still acceptible and warned not to over react. My dad has prostate surgery and I will not do it...they sent him home that evening...he was 75 years old at the time (5 yrs ago) and bleeding...it was ridiculous. Anyway do not hear much good about surgery and that many older men have died while having cancer of prostate but lived a long life anyway...oh well
Okay... keep me posted. Chances are you are fine. I went through all of this for the past 8 years. I still have my prostate and I'm 'fine."
I've had psa's of as high as 19.
Holy gambolie...I read where 4.5 was elevated but it did not seem to be that big a deal. I think the doc wants to see if it starts going up. My dad had an operation about 4 or 5 years ago and I swear the guy was a butcher...I'm not in any hurry to let some Nazi third generation get ahold of me and gut me.
19 I have to admit that sounds incredibly high...you must be iron man
