Hi There, only asking since you are the pointy end of the AR lark

How come so much swimming?

Multiple benefits really- Good muscular endurance for xc skiing, makes the transition to kayaking in the spring easier and its great for stressing my cardio system with very little impact on my joints. Having said all that I probably wouldn't swim as much if I didn't enjoy it too.

@JayXC: Any plans to ever use your swimming in a competitive setting? Swim Run or such?

@shotgunmcos: "pointy end of the AR lark" - I love the sound of that idiom, but what exactly does it mean :)

Maybe it's because I'm Canadian but it made perfect sense to me! :)

@MHtrailvet - if you have to ask.... :-)

@JayXC - I hear ya on the just enjoying it.
Interesting on the transition to paddling. In terms of upper body endurance?

@MHtrailvet- possiblity of a few Xterras this year if I can fit them in the schedule.

@shotgunmcos- Mostly maintaining muscle mass in shoulders, lats, delts, etc.
