ahh that brings back great memories! Did you ever do the Ulriken Over race (or is it still taking place?). what club did you race for in Bergen?

Is where you ran intervals close to Kanadaskogen? I remember the juniper there being especially nasty but that was 37 years ago now.

I actually never raced for a club there since I moved from Bergen when I was 5. The intervals place is Sandsli, Kanadaskogen is a bit further north by Fyllingsdalen.

I remember visiting my cousin as a teenager and doing some orienteering in Kanadaskogen. I was used to fast km times from the Canadian Praries and when she asked what I thought my time would be on the 3-4 k M16 course, I confidently guessed 30-35 minutes. Needless to say, the epic Bergen juniper bushes and bracken stuff quickly reduced my running to a grinding halt, and I emerged from the forest over an hour after starting.
