TriARgirl: I've finally gotten my head out of my own arse - and saw you did a big race. Wow! Way to go!
I TOTALLY sympathize with all of your bodily woes: tendonitis, blisters AND sprained ankle all at once!! OUCH!!!
Good job for toughing things through. We seem to all get a bit crazier through each one of these, I think. I've decided that pain should be on a logarithmic scale, rather than a linear one.

Stinky Pete: Should be logarithmic. does that mean that the more I hurt myself the less it will actually hurt. you may be right. If my feet hurt, all i need to do is bump my head on the half fallen over tree. Sure enough i completely forget about my feet.

mbading: Roger, Great race. I'll email you more about my thoughts later.

On the ankle, don't push it too hard to fast. I sprained my ankle really, really bad last year and it took a short time (2 to 4 weeks) to recover to 50-60% but a long time (4-6 months) to recover to 100%.

My doctor said that people like us (physically fit males) are the number one category most likely to re-injure our ankles because we feel it getting better and then we push it too hard too fast.

Seriously, you will get better soon, but just take it easy on the longer runs and uneven terrain until you are FULLY recovered. Trust me, you don't want to re-injure it.
