I did that intersection in 2013 and I wasn't asked to count riders into or out of the station end then either so I also added it as a comment. I think I had 342 from my AP log, which up until this year was my highest count. I didn't have to differentiate between on and off road riders that year. I think back then it was just the total count over two hours so no distinction between male/female either.
I had plenty this morning saying hello, probably 10-20%, and three or four stopped for a chat, including the younger Paul Harrison (from rogaining) who I haven't seen for ages. Also had a few ask if we were okay.
My highest 15 minute period today was also 7:45-8:00am with 70, obviously excluding the ones coming from the north.
