I totally agree with you on the initial thought of Hokas, but my parents eventually convinced me (they have like 5 pairs each). They feel great though, they give you a bounce and can lengthen your stride( or at least make you feel like it). I haven't had any problems with them, even though I don't always use them. Some people on the team have started using them too and they don't actually look as wierd once you get used to them.
Thanks for the recommendation! I tried some on today and they felt pretty strange so I didn't get them. I'll probably consider getting them once my current shoes get worn out or if my foot keeps hurting for the next couple weeks.
