switching up your training a bit?
wait... that was on the road. any traffic that early?
Ha, ran the dirt (with patches of ice) last night, and the road in the AM. We're sort of on a rotating schedule with Thursdays and every 3rd is a hill repeat workout. Traffic is generally minimal that early, just a few cars, one bike, and one crazy kid on a longboard.
I'm in the beginning stages of switching it up in regards to road/dirt, made easier by the weather. I want to run 2:55 at Colfax, but that race is specific to simply gaining speed to be able to run fast at North Fork 4 weeks later. So, I'll add more trail days and rotate my long run to include trails as well the further along I get. Planning on doing 16-18 on Green this Saturday, then back to the road next Sat. Also adding the bike a bit this week, riding Sunday AM and going down to Oil Well flats next Sunday so long as we don't get a bunch of snow.
