Woo! I love triathlons. So fun. I'll have to dig through my transition gear and see if there's anything useful to share. Having a plan and everything laid out, ready to go is key for transitions. You can cut a lot of time there.

That sounds like a very nice distance for a first race.

I approve of this idea. It sounds not too intimidating, and having signed up for a race, it keeps you motivated to keep training. Yay! The only downside is that you can't wear the awesome socks in the water.

Thank you all! I will sign up later today after I do a swim time trail.

Alex, I was actually thinking of wearing my socks for the swim! It made me smile to think of doing that. And, yes, having a race, but not too far away that I think I have plenty of time to train, so I don't, is a good plan for me.

What is good about my swim time is that I don't do flip turns anyway, and I start swimming from the wall pretty much, not gliding at all. To me gliding isn't exercise. So, once I practice pushing off hard, I could have a pretty legit time.
