just wondering why you are using your fancy race shoes for training. shoes wear out so save them for racing maybe? just wondering. also if you train in something heavier then when you come to race in you light shoes you actually get the benefit from the light weight property
Yeah all that is true but I believe that you should change as little as possible between racing and training. Also these ones are relatively "cheap" for good off road shoes and they're pretty worn down already so I'll be getting a new pair for racing season so I don't mind wearing these ones down for training.
I have to agree with both, you need to wear in shoes before you race so that you feel comfortable in them but also I'd say a pair for training and a pair for racing is a very good idea. E.g. a heavy pair of Orocs for training and X Talons for racing and the occasional event.
