However notwithstanding a misplaced mile marker, it is hard for me to believe that the overall marathon distance was short. Not in a race of that caliber. Isn't it possible that one of the other 25 mile markers were correspondingly long?
great writeup . . . give me the inside feel and story. 6:45 pace is crazy fast for the ordinary mid-packer to conceive of.
@clark, as I said, I'm not going to stress over the distance. If I was to run Boston next year, I'd use the 2:58 from Milwaukee last fall. I hope the course doesnt't get thrown out only because I know a lot of people come to this race to get a BQ and this year's conditions more than offset any error in measurement.
