What does "fill" mean in this context?

Is this just a general ramp up in mileage, or are you planning pace change throughout as well?

Just curious. Since my training involves "doing whatever", it is enlightening to follow along with yours.

O Steve!:
My way of saying "fill" the time, outside of pure running, up to the stated time with uphill tread mill hiking and/or elliptical. (Simulated running)
I am doing this to try and ramp up my running while trying to allow my knee to fully heal (I have a ways to go)..its a tight rope act.
I am going to increase my pace on the shorter runs. Of corse this is all contingent on my ksee continuing to improve.
Ultimately I am trying to get back in decent running shape while not causing my knee to regress.

Got it. Best of luck with your knee.
