How's the hip?

Not great. Saw a doctor today. He's guessing bursitis, was fine with my trying PT but also wanted me to get an x-ray. Also wants me on naproxyn for a few weeks. It's actually not the hip but more the leg joint. Hard to describe where the pain is. Thanks for asking.

Interesting to see what shows up on the x-ray. My arthritis pain is deep inside the hip ... not at the hip 'point', but more down in the groin. I get hip 'point' pain, too, and suspect IT band for that.

The 'good' of the arthritis: it's just sometimes painful, it's not really 'injured', and more running isn't making it worse (if anything, it's helping).

The 'bad': someday I'll need new hips!

Fingers crossed it's a transitory bursitis that responds well to the naproxen.
