OK. So we've renewed our recruiting efforts so we can split into Intermediate/JV teams. It's going to be great.
Still think it's going to be great. We currently have 2 potential new recruits; if we get both then we'll have a 4-person Intermediate team and a 5-person JV team. My dream come true.

I talked to Jackson the other night - he was under the impression he needed to commit to a week and a half away from school. Can he do it just going for the weekend?
Alex, thanks! The commitment is to travel with the team 3/31 to 4/3 (Thurs-Sun), and to train ahead of time. It is not a week and a half away from school - just two days off school.
For training ahead of time, we would need him to train every weekend day he has available in the time remaining. The whole team trains at 1pm every Sunday. I am working with some kids at 3pm on Mon, Tue and Fri.

Seven representing CRLS are currently registered, so at least one more (Jackson?) will need to be added.
Parents who will not be running, but want t-shirts, meals, etc, should also register. Not only is it good for us organizers to know who's coming, we would like to give event sponsors higher -- and accurate -- numbers of attendees... ;-)
Yes, we have someone trying it out tomorrow and then they will decide, and then I will complete registration.
Your post said 8 kids definite, with the possibility of 2 more. Is it now 7 with the possibility of 1 more?

For the parents, can they fill out their own registration for food, without signing up for the races? Or do we need to tack them on to another registration?
It is not necessary for anyone who registers to sign-up for a race -- in fact, I prefer that non-racing people who want dinners, t-shirts,etc. register themselves (though you could still do it for them).
If they include their child's school's name in the Notes to registrar box (bottom of race/class/course selection page), I'll keep them grouped with you, Izzy, and the kids, for lunch, dinner, training talk and sandwich lists. The race/class/course selector will default to their appropriate age category, so they'll need to select "Not Competing".
